Meiosis

 In science we are learning about meiosis, so we did this activity where we cut strips of papers to use as chromosomes and did the meiosis process with them. As a result we get a baby from those chromosomes. 

 

Here are the genotypes of this baby:

Hot Chocolate/ Memories

Since it's winter I thought about writing something that makes me feel so good, something related to winter. So here it is:

 I sit quietly in a dark room, next to the cold freezing window. All I see is the land covered in snow. Everything is white except the sky. Things out there seemed so quiet. Which reminds me of the quote "when snow falls, nature listens" by Antoinette Van Kleeff. As I touch the window I feel the cold air coming in. The cold air, the snow, the background, makes me think of only two things; a fireplace and hot chocolate.
 Sitting next to the fireplace with hot chocolate in your hands is awesome!!! Sitting there felt so good. A flashback ran through my brain, reminding me of my family, specially my grandpa. I remember in winter I used to sit next to my grandpa near the fireplace. He would read me stories and it felt really good. Later we both together would enjoy our hot chocolate. Even now when I think about hot chocolate, I can still smell it.
"Hot chocolate for you,".
"Thank you" I used to say to my grandpa.

How Taekwondo has changed me

Me? Well let me tell you this that the way I am now, I wasn't like that before. Before I was way too shy. I never talked to anybody. I used to be alone all the time. I wasn't alone because people didn't talk to me, I was alone because I was the one who didn't say a word to anyone. I always stood alone in a corner, looking at others. I was too nervous. I had a lack of cofidence in myself. If you ask anyone how was Dhanvi before? Their response would be the same as always "quiet and shy".
What changed me was Taekwondo. After joining Taekwondo, I became a different person. I became more determined and confident, okay can say a little more louder. Now I don't feel that nervous to talk to others.
Taekwondo means a lot to me.

Invisible Sister

 

"Invisible Sister" is about a girl named Cleo (Rowan Blanchard), working on a science project which later goes wrong when she accidentally turns her sister Molly (Paris Berelc) invisible. 
The two sister race and work hard with their friends to come up with a antidote to reverse the invisibility before it becomes permanent, by the stroke of midnight of  Halloween. 
Throughout this movie the sisters realize that "visible, or invisible, comes from inside of us. And we become visible when we're not afraid to show the world who we really are." 
I think this is a great movie. :)

New Year Blogging

Happy New Year!!!!!! :) 
For 2015 the first word that pops up in my head is "fantastic". 2015 has been a fantastic year for me. That's mainly because of all the fun, cool, exciting, awesome and fantastic things that happened in 2015. I totally had a great year. One of the event that made up the fantastic 2015 was the basketball game between the teachers and the 8th grade students. It was an awesome game. Another event the made up the fantastic 2015 was the 8th grade play. We all had a great learning experience and we all had a great time.

I think that the word fantastic is the best word that suits the year of 2015 because it also is another way to say the following words:

• great
• remarkable
• tremendous
• awesome
• cool
• brilliant
• super
• excellent
• breathtaking (basketball game)

Any of the following words above can sum up 2015.

I would like 2016 to be a great year for me. Actually I hope that 2016 would be even better than great.
